08.13.13 | Week 18 | Fort Lauderdale

Hey Family!

Your missionary is growing up! I am graduating from being green! Can you believe this is my third transfer? Sister Bean and I have been making predictions about whats going to happen for transfers. We knew that most likely she was going to be leaving. She has been here for 6 transfers now. I thought that I would be taking over the area. Because I felt so strongly about that, I have been driving, trying to get to know the area, and doing everything I could to be ready to take over the area. I felt SO strongly about it. All yesterday we were so nervous and anxious to get a call from our Zone leaders that night. We got home, butterflies in our stomach, and the phone rang. Sister Smith, Clayton, Bean, and I were all sitting on the floor, in a circle, holding hands with the phone in the middle of us on speaking. Our apartment has been the best mix of sisters. We are best friends. Heavenly Father must have known that we were far too comfortable together. Haha;) As we sat there, they read of every bodies names, "Sister Bean, TRANSFERS, Sister Rogers, TRANSFERS." I was SHOCKED!!! Then it went into the other sisters area, "Sister Smith, STAYS AND TRAINS, Sister Clayton, TRANSFERS." By this time we were all freaking out. They were WHITEWASHING our area!! If anyone knows, that's not very normal. That means that two new missionaries come in and take over the area, without knowing ANYTHING about the area. Sister Bean and I sat there and started to think about all of our investigators, and all of her recent converts and need help! Us girls, yeah we didn't get to sleep till about 12 that night just talking, and trying to figure out what was going to happen with us! We were all thrown for a loop. Then, today, we got a phone call from the AP's telling us that we were to bring our Area book, car, and phone, ready to give to two Elders that were going to be taking over our area. They told us that it was nothing that we had done wrong, and that we were amazing missionaries. Its just what the Lord wants. We now feel really at peace about it. It really is all in God's hands. We have been having a hard time with our area. We had some solid people, but they weren't progressing like we'd like them to. We think that Elders will be a good thing for the area. Except, our branch is SO sad. They didn't want any of us to leave, and now everyone of us but Sister Smith is leaving! And no offense to the Elders, but our branch doesn't like Elders. haha so it will be interesting to see what happens:)

Other than that, I have been having such a great time. I know that good things are to come! I am a little nervous. Not going to lie. Getting a new companion is scary! Especially after I have had the best one I could have ever asked for. Sister Bean and I are just way to comfortable with eachother. Haha its time for us to grow some more. Tomorrow morning I will find out! we leave for transfer meeting at 8 in the morning. I have been packing and cleaning all day trying to get ready! Tonight, we are going to the church at eight to say goodbye to the Branch. Going to be so sad:( They have been like a family to me. I have learned SO MUCH!  I am very grateful for it:)

It's getting SO hot here in Florida. We practically die. Everyone talks of how great the winters are here and that i am going to LOVE it. I get super excited, then I remember that once I get through this summer, comes winter, and then I have ANOTHER summer. Haha what's Heavenly Father trying to put me through??;) Nah. It's good. In our apartment, we have been trying to go on this health kick. Fruits, Veggies, and Lean meets. And of course my granola bars here and there because I need my sugar. But its been so good! We last A WHOLE WEEK! can you believe it?

Well family, I loved your emails like I always do:) Thanks for always thinking about me, and praying for me! I love you all more than you could ever know. You are such huge examples and support to me!

Thanks for everything you and Sister Anderson do, President!
